A Take on Fashion: Derek Blasberg

A prolific fashion writer and personality, Derek Blasberg is currently the head of YouTube’s fashion and beauty partnerships and is Our Man of the Street for Vanity Fair. 

How does the current crisis impact people’s relationship with clothing and fashion?

In this video with YouTube creator Bretman Rock, I joked that “screen style” is the new “street style”. In the past 12 months, most of us have been working from home, and reducing travel and social interactions to stay safe. But I do think when it’s safe to go out, there’s going to be a renewed interest in the social anthropology around the way we dress. We’ll want to dress up because we’ll finally be feeling up to it! I think a return to fashion will be good for this industry, and good for our moods too.
