The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode federates the needs of its members, it is their spokesperson in the French and International ecosystem, in both an economic and a political term. Those actions are reflected through a constant awareness of the surrounding and anticipation, aiming at leading brands toward reflections and actions that are both decisive and innovative and to accompany the renewal of the fashion creative offer in the capital. Looking after the international visibility of this dynamism and of the brands’ reputation is also part of the Fédération’s objectives.
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode provides its members and the emerging brands that it accompanies with a range of services that relate to the whole spectrum of a company's functions and that aim to maintain, share and enhance its skills and knowledge. Watchful, it identifies the key problems and anticipates its members needs for counsel. Its services are accessible through different channels : joint commissions, ad hoc working groups or even individual meetings with brands.
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode orchestrates the Paris Fashion Week ® which welcomes over 150 brands, making Paris one of the biggest business and creativity scene. It puts up the official Ready-to-Wear calendar that summarizes shows and presentations, as well as the Haute Couture calendar. The Fédération accompanies each member brands and gives them the possibility to express themselves in an environment that will highlight and coincide the best with their reputation.
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, attached since its beginning, to creativity in its singularity, support and accompanies young designers and brands that will be the Fashion of tomorrow. The Fédération identifies the potential of brands and offers them strategic landmarks. It accompanies them with visibility as well as structures and finances. The Fédération brings in to young brands a juridical support, especially focused on industrial and intellectual properties via dedicated packs and tool boxes. Those posses logistic advantages that enables brands to tackles problematics related to development more serenely; and to integrate moments of hyper concurrence in the most effective way. Advised in terms of image and strategy according to their degree of development, brands oriente themselves toward the most adapted positioning.
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode’s mission is to safeguard the training of young generations, to ensure excellence in skills and in doing so, to consolidate an international reputation that contributes to strengthening Paris as fashion capital.
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode founded and manages the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and is a founding member of the Institut Français de la Mode. With the intention of delivering training in traditional and new management and design skills simultaneously, these two institutions are today engaged in a process of strategic rapprochement. The first programs will be presented at the start of 2019 new academic year. The Federation is also more widely involved in the Schools’ ecosystem via the Cesum.
